Location: Zurich, hybrid Workload: 80-100% Your main responsibilities: • Own the delivery of features end-to-end — from writing and reviewing secure, well-tested code to running it confidently in production • Drive continuous improvement of application quality and security, treating technical debt as a risk to be actively managed • Ensure platform reliability by working across engineering disciplines — CI/CD, SRE, and architecture — to raise the bar on availability, resilience, and observability • Grow the team's capability by mentoring junior engineers and raising engineering standards through example Your profile: • You are passionate about building scalable backend services leveraging the latest industry standards • You have a collaborative and growth mindset • You care about quality and security and bake those aspects in the software development lifecycle • You are comfortable taking ownership of the whole development lifecycle, from designing solutions to running the application in production • You are proactive and get motivated with new opportunities and challenges What will make you stand out: • Expertise in TypeScript and/or Java • Expertise in security and applied cryptography • Expertise in an industry framework such as NestJS, Spring or Quarkus • Expertise in working with RDBMS (ideally Postgres) • Working experience with utilizing Kafka • Experience with distributed systems and infrastructure • Designing flexible and robust REST APIs with an API first approach • Understanding microservices, event driven architecture and being able to implement complex functionality with high quality and security • Working knowledge of Docker and containerization • Experience of working with Kubernetes is beneficial • Experience of working with AWS is beneficial
